Still love EXO, but after discovering booktube/bookstagram/booktumblr, I'm sharing my love of books and reading as well. I tend to be sporadic and random in my posting/reblogging and will post whatever I please ;) Thanx for all the followers that I don't even talk to and for even following at all!
I thought PD likes Park Haejin since Cheese in the Trap BTS shows scenes of them (w Kim Goeun) having a good laugh together and even mentioning that PHJ and KGE should date or even get married? So I figured, maybe the speculation of PD being a fan (saw a lot of funny comments on that) of Seo Kangjoon isn’t the case w/ him having long screen time instead of the main lead actor.
The only character I like in the drama version of CITT is InHa because she’s crazy and beats people up and yanks their hair out and that’s what I feel like doing to the PD and writers at the moment.
I read about it. But what difference does that make. The point to this controversy isn’t about scene times anymore. It’s about Park Hae Jin not knowing why he’s almost nonexistence in the drama when he knows he filmed a lot more scenes then what has shown. The fact that he doesn’t know about what is happening is what makes me soooo upset. If Hae Jin has known about it all along then I wouldn’t be this upset, but he doesn’t.
I know Park Hae Jin isn’t a Lee Min Ho or Kim Soo Hyun, but he isn’t a nobody. Can you imagine what craziness this would be if it was those two mentioned above? Park Hae Jin might not be as popular but he has a solid fanbase. And he’s quite popular in China too, a lot more than he is in Korea.
I think the production team underestimate Park Hae Jin because the Knetizens are killing the production team here. They do realized that they’re doing an adaptation of a webtoon will many followers/fans, right?
Anonymous asked: Have you read PHJ's interview regarding his role being downsized in the drama? It's so sad. "I starred in a drama based off of the webtoon 'Cheese in the Trap', but as of right now, I'm not sure what drama I'm in anymore." "The reason I chose to star in this drama at all at a time when the director, scriptwriter, or anything was decided was because I trusted in the original work of the webtoon. As of now, I trust nothing anymore." "even if I did see the ending, I know it's not going to turn out
(Cont) great. I still wish it ends well as I am in this drama. Unless
“Cheese in the Trap” is made new, there is no cutting-edge ending". “I
remember hearing that when the agencies, production and broadcasting
stations complained to the director about the story going the wrong way,
the director said, “What’s the problem? I’ll speak to my actors and
actresses. I am an actor who does what I’m told to do. What they decide
to do is not my concern”. So much disrespect from the PD and filming
staff.
I have heard of it but I couldn’t find the full statement, so thank you for providing it. At this rate, I really don’t know what to say anymore. The amount of unprofessionalism from the production crew makes me question why they’re producing anything in the first place. Poor Park Hae Jin. He truly does not deserve this. He came into the drama not knowing anything about the people responsible for the production of the drama and completely gave all his trust to them, which is what an actor is supposed to do when they accept a role, like what his company stated on IG, “The filming ground is like a second home.” Well unfortunately, this home has completely disappointed him. And you know the feeling of having your family members disappoint you…the feeling is horrible.
So to get things straight, this is what I got out of all this mess:
Before filming started the webtoon writer, Soonki, sat down with the the drama writer and PD to discuss her approach to the ending of her webtoon, and asked the drama writer to recreate a different ending so the webtoon readers can continue reading her webtoon after the drama ends. So the one thing the drama writer and PD had to do is to create a different ending, right?
And based upon the webtoon writer, she was not contacted at all regarding the process of shooting the drama UNTIL she asked them for the script and they only gave her episode 1-8 (I’m assuming she approved since ep 1-8 were golden) and afterward she lost contact from them. Only when shooting reach to episode 14 the production team decided to go to her and give her the script that she realized the direction that drama writer is going with is too similar to her approach to her own ending, so she asked for a change. So the ending that we’re going to see is not the original ending that the writer and PD planned, right? The ending they filmed is too similar to what webtoon writer wanted so they had to change it in the last minutes, which results in the lack of Yoo Jung scenes in the most recent episodes. And Park Hae Jin knows nothing about this, right? He only found out from watching the aired episodes? Am I seeing the story correctly? Someone tell me? I don’t want to be mean to the production team if what I’m getting out of this controversy is false.
So here’s where my opinion come if what I’m seeing is corrected, due to the webtoon objection towards the drama version ending the production team when into a frizzle because they’re almost done filming and maybe the drama itself has already aired at this point because remember the drama aired before they finished filming. They were about 70% done with the drama at the time. This has always bothered me on why Park Hae Jin finished filming so early compare to the others when he’s the main lead of the drama. He finished about a week (3-4 days) earlier than the rest of the crew. Is this done on purpose so they can have Hae Jin not presents so they can reshoot his original scenes with Inho as a replacement??? Because the scene when Inho puts ointment on Seol and the scene when Sangchul’s about to hit Seol and she fell and Inho came running to her, these two scenes were supposed to be Jung’s scenes in the webtoon. Were they planning to change the ending and cutting his scenes without letting Park Hae Jin know all along??? And is this the reason why they didn’t inform him about the cast vacation, because they were ashamed/scared to tell him what they have done???
So basically, they made a mess and Park Hae Jin is the one having to repay it but reducing his scene to a mere cameo. And an uncertain ending is coming our way. Everything is a complete mess…. Like I said Park Hae Jin shouldn’t be treated this way. I need an answer from the production team and definitely an apology to Park Hae Jin. I’m officially in Protect Park Hae Jin Squad.
Anonymous asked: "So Park Hae JIn confirmed that there were scenes he filmed that were retaken and filmed again with Inho" When did he said this? In his interview he only talked about his scenes being cut out and didn't metion nothing like this.
Keep in mind that I must have read at least ten articles about this so I don’t exactly remember where I read that, or if it was his company or him who said it but I know I did read it, and my mind is also grasping to understand what is true and what isn’t, but apparently he even hurt his hand/got injured(?) for one of the scenes (which I assume to be the scene where he saves Seol from Sang Chul) other scenes that were in the manhwa, but were replaced with Seol/Inho scenes and I don’t doubt the possibility of this since Seol and Inho stayed filming for a full five days more than PHJ, and people have stated that the sames scenes were retaken after he left. Apparently companies from China and elsewhere are trying to buy the rights to these deleted scenes so I guess we’ll found out if they manage to succeed. For the sake of my sanity, I hope they do. I need some answers to this mess. I don’t know anything anymore.
30 mins full of baek in ho-ssi. *sighs* this drama has totally changed the leading man. Its just like what i read, is jung’s only for hugs and kisses now? I was itching to skip the 1st part of this episode bc in ho keeps on popping out.
I know, in the webtoon, in ho has also been there always but bc they change his character into someone who’s inlove with sul, it doesnt look good and fair to the leading man or Jung. I really feel bad saying this to inho’s character tbh, bc i know he’s a great guy, and seo kang joon’s acting is really perfect for this role but *sighs deeply* the writing is really disappointing.
I was all smiles and carried away when sul hugged jung but damn it, its like 1 min and its done already???? Are they kidding me?? The balance of jung and in ho’s appearance is really messed up.
The drama already surpassed the story in the webtoon, so i really have no idea what will happen next. I just hope that what will happen on the drama wont be exactly the same with the webtoon. Well, i trust soonkki.
It is very creepy how similar I find Yoo Jung’s situation to mine (the friends-keeping-tabs-on-you one) and that’s why i say that his reaction to it (if indeed we have been shown the whole truth) is definitely ‘abnormal’ as people would like to label him. I do not pity him or claim that he was right in just standing there watching In Ho getting hit but i think it’s very much possible for a person to be stuck (or trapped) in a certain emotion - that for Yoo Jung being the last time he was being ‘honest’. It’s pretty much how Seol puts it - ‘You haven’t had the chance to be honest with people.’ and while i agree to the fact that ‘We always have a choice’ what it takes to be honest is what subjects Yoo Jung to the world as someone in the grey area - that something imo is courage. Courage is always grey because it is driven more by impulse and less by the system of logic. And, that is why i think Yoo Jung deserves a chance more than In Ho…because for Yoo Jung to decide to be himself around Seol is goodness knows how many leaps of faith. Must have been tiresome.
I am kind of too old to blame the father…a parents’ desperation to have their child seem ‘regular’ to everyone, most of the times, crushes the parent in them and i have accepted that…even in my case.
Okay…((tries to be calm)) Tbh, this episode is 50-50 to me. First of all, what’s with the background sound when jung was talking to young gon???? I feel like im watching a crime-suspense drama lol
The adoptation scene with jung’s father: BAEK SIBLINGS REALLY GOT ME. Damn their reactions was so precious that I want to go inside the screen and hug them. Seo kang hoon and Lee sung kyung’s acting was just so on point. ;;____;; Lee Sung kyung’s acting really improved or..im just used to it lol
I kinda understand the reason why they cut the scene of sul and jung in his condo and connect it with after fight scene of jung and in ho but i cant help but to feel disappointed. The confrontation of jung and sul was greatly shown in the webtoon, theyre shouting and they look like theyre going to kill each other, while in the drama, i feel like sul, tho she looks mad, looks kinda calm to me. And ofc jung looks like really creepy again.
AND HONG SUL’S CONFESSION //SOBS// For me, they didnt make justice to it…DIRECTOR-NIM WAEYOOOOO TT____TT Dont they have any idea how special that scene is????? SUL FINALLY SAID I LIKE YOU TO JUNG BUT I DONT FEEL THE IMPACT OF IT IN THE DRAMA ???? JUNG REALLY FEELS THANKFUL TOWARD SUL FOR SAYING THAT BUT ITS NOT SHOWN IN THE DRAMA //IN HA SCREAMS// I.SRSLY.DONT.UNDERSTAND.
I really try my best to keep my trust on the director and writers to not mess up the story plot. They seem to edit/cut the story arcs to make it shorter to be perfectly fitted to a drama. Well, the shooting was finished….i just wished that they didnt messed up the story plot
Omg I love how Jung reacted to the guy at work! IM LIKE JUNG DOESN’T BELIEVE YOU’RE A GOOD PERSON YOU’RE DONE SON! Park Hae Jin needs to do the fake smiles more often it really puts him in Yoo Jung mode.
